Aujourd'hui nous avons étudié la voix passive il est important qu'elle soit bien différenciée de la voix active.


VOIX ACTIVE

Paul chante une chanson
Paul sings a song
c'est Paul qui chante la chanson

VOIX PASSIVE

il y a un complément d'agent

Une chanson est chantée par Paul
ce n'est plus Paul qui est sujet c'est la chanson
A song is sung by Paul


La voix passive est constituée de la façon suivante :

le sujet +verbe être au temps requis+participe passé du verbe

Reprenons la même phrase et conjugons cette phrase à tous les temps de la voix passive

Présent simple
A song is sung by Paul

Présent progressif
A song is being sung by Paul
en ce moment une chanson est chantée par Paul

Présent Perfect continuous
For one week a song has been sung by Paul
Depuis une semaine une chanson est chantée par Paul

Futur
A song will be sung by Paul
Une chanson sera chantée par Paul
A song is going to be sung by Paul

Conditionnel
A song would be sung by Paul
Une chanson serait chantée par Paul

Preterit Simple
A song was sung by Paul
Une chanson était chantée par Paul

Preterit progressif
A song was being sung by Paul
Une chanson était chantée par Paul

Exercice 1 - Mettre à la voix passive les phrases à la voix active :
Since 2007 they have built 2 new office building
Since 2007, 2 new office buildings have been built

Between 2005 and 2008 they built a school
Betwen 2005 and 2008, a school was built

They are building a new shopping center
A new shopping center is being built by them.

They have set up traffic lights at the crossroads
At the crossroads, traffic lights have been set up by them

They will renovate the multiplex cinema next year
 Next year, the multiplex will be renovated by them

Exercice 2 - Je donne une phrase en français vous devez la mettre en anglais à la voix passive

Exemple je donne une phrase en français à la voix active :
Il écrit un livre
Vous écrivez la phrase à la voix passive
A book is written by him

Elle fait un exercice (en ce moment)
An exercice is being done by her

Ils contruiront une maison
A house will be built by them
A house is going to be built by them

Vous ne réparerez pas le réfrigérateur
The fridge won't be repaired by you

Conduiraient-ils la voiture ?
Would the car be driven by them ?

They finished building the school in August 2006
THE SCHOOL WAS FINISHED IN AUGUST 2006

Building work lasted (how long)
How long did building work last ?
Building work lasted about two years

They will start building the shopping center in (when)
When will they start building the shopping center ?
They will start building the shopping center in January 2012
THE SHOPPING CENTER WILL BE STARTED IN JANUARY 2012

The sports center took.... to build (how long)
How long did the sports center take to build ?
The sports center took 26 months to build

Exercice 4 les prépositions et adverbes de lieu

Walk past the toilets
Walk across the living room
There is a tall building in front of/opposite our house
The ball went right through the window
He walked slowly up the stairs
She rushed down the stairs
Put the box on top of the chest of drawers
The bathroom is next to/near the bedroom
The washing machine is between the fridge and the dishwasher
Walk around the house to see if the windows are all shut
